Caracterización infecciones de vías urinarias en embarazadas atendidas en el Hospital Tomás Uribe Uribe de Tuluá

Abstract

To characterize urinary tract infections in pregnant women at Tomas Uribe Uribe Hospital during 2016. Based on the data obtained in the research, it was observed that the most frequent type of UTI in our population is cystitis and the most frequent germ is E. coli. Concerning the sociodemographic characteristics, we found that UTI is much more frequent in young patients, with low socioeconomic level, more than half had studied complete primary and had some degree of the baccalaureate, the majority of the patients Were overweight, and Found in the third trimester of pregnancy.
