dc.description.abstractLos menores nacidos intersexuales deben ser intervenidos quirúrgicamente para definir su sexualidad, situación que genera una dificultad legal teniendo en cuenta que el menor no tiene la capacidad para dar su consentimiento. Razón por la cual se requiere la suscripción del consentimiento sustituto de los padres apoyados por el concepto médico. La definición sexual por parte de los padres y del médico tienen un gran riesgo frente a la elección equivocada del sexo del menor, ya que en el momento de la decisión no se tiene en cuenta el desarrollo de su personalidad, sus gustos y sus necesidades, vulnerando derechos fundamentales del menor como son el derecho a la igualdad, la dignidad, el libre desarrollo de la personalidad, la identidad y el derecho al estado civil.spa

Why the signing of substitute parental consent supported by the medical concept is required. The sexual definition by parents and health are at great risk facing the wrong choice of sex of the child, because in the moment of decision is not taken into account the development of their personality, tastes and needs, violating fundamental rights of the child such as the right to equality, dignity, free development of personality, identity and the right to civil status.eng
