Estado del arte del bilingüismo en Latinoamérica (Colombia, México y Chile)

Abstract

The research presents an analysis of the state of the art of bilingualism in Latin America (Colombia, Mexico and Chile), with a literature review that aims to show a synthesis about the concept of bilingualism, its research trends and its evolution. The search engine that was taken into account to do the crawl was Scopus. To do this, a first general search was carried out on research trends worldwide on bilingualism and yielded 1,855 documents, a second search consisted of tracking research trends on the same subject in Latin America in order to delimit the documents found in the literary search in the selected countries where a greater influence was found in the analysis of bilingual programs of the Spanish-English languages. The search keywords to carry out this work were: bilingualism-learning-teaching-English. The conclusions allow an approach to the concept of bilingualism from its component of theoretical perspectives and trends: psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics and the review of some of the current trends and challenges posed by bilingual education; in Chile it is to strengthen the command of the language to accelerate the country's integration in a global world and improve competitiveness; Colombia raises a trend from the different types of bilingualism with the positions of authors such as Bermúdez and Fandiño, Weinreich, Paradis and Signoret, Lambert, Signoret and Vila; Mexico, for its part, is to help ensure the quality of learning through the establishment of technical and pedagogical conditions. Esta investigación presenta un análisis del estado del arte del bilingüismo en Latinoamérica (Colombia, México y Chile), con una revisión de literatura que pretende mostrar una síntesis acerca del concepto de bilingüismo sus tendencias investigativas y su evolución. El motor de búsqueda que se tuvo en cuenta para hacer el rastreo fue Scopus. Para ello, se hizo una primera búsqueda general sobre las tendencias investigativas a nivel mundial sobre el bilingüismo y arrojó 1.855 documentos, una segunda búsqueda consistió en el rastreo de las tendencias investigativas sobre la misma temática en Latinoamérica con el fin de ir delimitando los documentos encontrados en la búsqueda literaria en los países seleccionados donde se encontró una mayor influencia en el análisis de programas bilingües de los idiomas español-inglés. Las palabras claves de búsqueda para la realización de este trabajo fueron: bilingüismo-aprendizaje enseñanza-inglés. Las conclusiones permiten lograr una aproximación al concepto de bilingüismo desde su componente de perspectivas teóricas y tendencias: la psicolingüística y la sociolingüística y la revisión de algunas de las tendencias actuales y los retos que plantea la educación bilingüe; en Chile es fortalecer el dominio del idioma para acelerar la integración del país en un mundo global y, mejorar la competitividad; Colombia plantea una tendencia desde los diferentes tipos de bilingüismo con las posturas de autores como Bermúdez y Fandiño, Weinreich, Paradis y Signoret, Lambert, Signoret y Vila, por su parte, México su tendencia es contribuir a asegurar la calidad de los aprendizajes través del establecimiento de condiciones técnicas y pedagógicas.
