Factores que influyen en la lactancia materna basado en la teoría de adopción del rol maternal

Abstract

In conjunction with Ramona Mercer's mid-level nursing theory and the incorporation of the Bronfenbrenner concentric circles in which aspects of the micro, macro and mesosystem are performed, the characteristics of the mother and the child are options that determine the adoption of the maternal role, this research was carried out from the perspective of breastfeeding and how each of the variables proposed in the theory influences the development that takes place over time in which the mother establishes a link with her son. In this context, a descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the factors that influence breastfeeding based on the Ramona Mercer model, in mothers attending the Divino Niño Hospital in the city of Buga with a sample of 93 mothers with children between 0 and 12 months. Obtaining as a result: The mothers investigated had a high rate of duration when breastfeeding their child, since most of them reported that they had received education from a health official and assistance to Fami groups where such education was reinforced, giving importance to the support networks and processes standardized by the institution, based on the protective factors to avoid the early abandonment of the practice and the acquisition of the maternal role En conjunto con la teoría de enfermería de rango medio de Ramona Mercer y la incorporación de los círculos concéntricos de Bronfenbrenner en el cual se efectúan aspectos del micro, macro y mesosistema, las características de la madre y del hijo que son opciones que determinan la adopción del rol maternal, se llevó a cabo esta investigación desde la mirada de la lactancia materna y como cada una de las variables planteadas en la teoría influyen en el desarrollo que se produce a lo largo del tiempo en el cual la madre establece un vínculo con su hijo. En este contexto se realizó un estudio tipo descriptivo, transversal cuyo objetivo fue determinar los factores que influyen en la lactancia materna basada en el modelo de Ramona Mercer, en madres que asisten al Hospital Divino Niño en la ciudad de Buga con una muestra de 93 madres con niños entre 0 y 12 meses. Obteniendo como resultado: Las madres investigadas tuvieron un índice alto de duración al amamantar a su hijo, ya que la mayoría de estas referían que habían recibido educación por parte de algún funcionario de salud y la asistencia a grupos Fami donde se reforzaba tal educación, dando importancia a las redes de apoyo y los procesos estandarizados por la institución, basándose en los factores protectores para evitar el abandono temprano de la práctica y la adquisición del rol Maternal
