Abstract

The phenomenon of mototaxismo can be defined as a service of public transport illegally is to mobilize a user on a motorcycle not authorized to provide public transport services, also it comes as a door -to-door option, with infinite frequency and lower cost the rates of public transport service. The main objective of the project was to establish the characteristics of demand that influence the decision for people to use informal transport (mototaxi) in the municipality of Tulua. To achieve the objective, first data information were collected through surveys user and “mototaxistas” and supplemented by interviews with managers of collective service companies Transtobar buses and Salonica and a leader Of the “mototaxistas”. El fenómeno del mototaxismo se puede definir como un servicio público de transporte ilegal que consiste en movilizar un usuario en una motocicleta no habilitada para prestar un servicio de transporte público, así mismo se presenta como una opción puerta a puerta, sin rutas establecidas, con frecuencia infinitas y a un costo inferior a las tarifas del servicio de transporte público colectivo.
