Factores que influyen en la lactancia materna en madres adolescentes según la teoría de Ramona Mercer.

Abstract

In conjunction with Ramona Mercer's mid-range nursing theory in which aspects of the micro, macro and meso system are made, the characteristics of the mother and the child that are options that determine the adoption of the maternal role, it was carried out this research from the perspective of breastfeeding and how each of the variables raised in the theory influence the development that occurs over the time in which the mother establishes a bond with her child. In this context, a descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out whose objective was to determine the factors that influence breastfeeding based on the Ramona Mercer model, in adolescent mothers between 14 and 19 years’ old who attend the San Vicente Ferrer Hospital in Andalusia- Valle, with a sample of 21 mothers with children between 0 and 1 years of age, who are entered in the institution's database since they are enrolled in the WCFI program (Woman and Child Friendly Institution) In this study, data was collected using the Likert scale, which has a series of questions that have a choice of answer. This survey was carried out with adolescent mothers who are part of the IAMI program of the San Vicente Ferrer hospital. Next, the Tabulation and analysis of the surveys is carried out, thus obtaining a result of the general objective of this research. En conjunto con la teoría de enfermería de rango medio de Ramona Mercer en el cual se efectúan aspectos del micro, macro y meso sistema, las características de la madre y del hijo que son opciones que determinan la adopción del rol maternal, se llevó a cabo esta investigación desde la mirada de la lactancia materna y como cada una de las variables planteadas en la teoría influyen en el desarrollo que se produce a lo largo del tiempo en el cual la madre establece un vínculo con su hijo. En este contexto se realizó un estudio tipo descriptivo, transversal cuyo objetivo fue determinar los factores que influyen en la lactancia materna basada en el modelo de Ramona Mercer, en madres adolescentes entre los 14 y 19 años que asisten al Hospital San Vicente Ferrer de Andalucía- Valle, con una muestra de 21 madres con hijos entre los 0 y 1 años de edad, las cuales están ingresadas en la base de datos de la institución ya que están inscritas al programa IAMI (Institución Amiga de la Mujer y la infancia). En este estudio se recolectaron datos por medio de una encuesta tipo escala de Likert que cuenta con una serie de preguntas que tienen una opción de respuesta. Esta encuesta se llevó a cabo con madres adolescentes que hacen parte del programa IAMI del hospital san Vicente Ferrer. Seguidamente se realiza la tabulación y análisis de las encuestas y así se obtiene un resultado del objetivo general de esta investigación.
